KEIZER, Ore. – A 54-year-old man missing for almost a month was found dead Wednesday morning in a field near Talbot in Marion County, Oregon State Police said.
Police are now investigating the death of Robert Allen Knupp. OSP said an autopsy is pending.
Knupp drove his brother to a restaurant in the Albany area and dropped him off on Saturday, June 7. That was the last time he was seen alive, according to police.
His car, a 1993 Geo Metro, was found locked at a rest area along Interstate 5 south of Salem the next day.
At the time police said there was no evidence that Knupp’s disappearance was related to a crime. Knupp’s family said his behavior was out of character and he recently began taking newly prescribed medications.
A reward of up to $500 was offered for information that helped find Knupp. It was offered by Knupp's employer, Garten Services, Inc.
