Teen skateboarder hit and killed by vehicle in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY, Wash. – A 16-year-old skateboarder was hit by a vehicle and killed near Hockinson on Sunday night.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said the 16-year-old boy was skateboarding on Northeast 172nd Avenue when he was hit by the vehicle just after 10:30 p.m.

The boy died at the scene. His name has not been released.

The vehicle left the road and hit a tree, deputies said. Medics took the driver and a passenger to a hospital. Their conditions are unclear.

Deputies said the boy was wearing dark clothing and there were no street lights in the area.
