Three adults, one child displaced by mobile home fire
An early morning house fire on August 30, in Hillsboro, displaced three adults and one child.

HILLSBORO, Ore. -- An early morning mobile fire in Hillsboro has displaced three adults and one child.

Around 1 a.m. Hillsboro Fire and Rescue responded to a mobile home in a residential area off of SE Walnut St. on SE 3rd Ave. where flames were clearly visible through the windows of the single-wide mobile home.

Firefighters quickly began to attack the fire on the front deck and inside the front room of the home. The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes after crews responded.

Onlookers stated to investigators a man with his 2-year-old nephew were on the front porch when they saw smoke and flames inside their home. The man was injured after he tried to re-enter the home trying to rescue their family dog. The dog was found a short time after and was not injured.

The boys parents were not home at the time of the fire and the man had to be treated for burns he sustained while trying to re-enter the home.
