ESTACADA, Ore. – Three teens were hit by a car near Estacada High School Wednesday morning.
Two of the kids are 14 years old; the other is 13. All three suffered minor injuries, according to Officer Sam Craven with Sandy police.
The three are junior high school students who take a music class at Estacada High School, Craven said. They were crossing at Northeast 6th Avenue and Main Street when they were hit by a Honda Civic.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Craven said a sun glare may have contributed to the crash.
Medics took one of the teens to a hospital in an ambulance. The other two went to the hospital with their parents, Craven said.
Police cited the driver for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
