Who is slashing tires in Lake Oswego?
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. - A $1,000 reward is being offered to help police track down a tire slasher.
Since October, officers in Lake Oswego have responded to at least 30 cases of tire slashings - mostly in the Mountain Park/Westlake area.
In most cases, the vehicles that were hit had two tires slashed and we're told the vandalism has now cost folks in the area around $10,000 total.
If you have information that can help investigators, call the Lake Oswego Police Detective Division at (503) 635-0238 or submit a tip online.
Lake Oswego Police Department is not used to solving actual crimes having worked for CCSO - fact and not fiction. Five days at looking at all the evidence and reaching out to my contacts and case closed - they are better at writing tickets to keep folks inline than solving real crimes...
It's got to be Les Schwab executives sneaking out after hours to increase sales.
It would be terrible to intentionally park an old beater with the tires filled with an oxy-acetylene mix. in hopes that a spark would occur during the knifing.
Some "parents" will win the lottery, because we hurt their "good kids".
@last boyscout Reminds me of the outlaw biker parties with derelict cars filled with balloons of that mixture that you so gratefully supplied - damn-it, it will be all your fault if some skel blows himself up!!!
Well, since we're in a guessing and betting mood, I'll throw out local tire company trying to drum up business.
Is there REALLY a tire ad above the comment section on this story?

I haven't seen a single ad since I started using it. This will no doubt be deleted as well.
@Festivus Yep. That and a link to the story about the girlfriend of Alabama's quarterback. She seems to be tying into a whole lot of stories lately...
@Max Quinn Yeah, and I keep forgetting I've read the story and click the link.  Can't figure out why I'd be so forgetful all of the sudden.

(This post will probably be deleted given current trends)
@Festivus @Max Quinn Well, I only read KATU for the articles...
my guess is it's probably a 30-40 year old unemployed environmental extremist with ear plugs and scruffy facial hair and black painted fingernails who talks a lot about how the banks did this and that. gawd, i love to stereotype!
I'll bet they are spoiled teens with credit cards and rich parents who have never earned a dime and have no concept of the value of money. Wish we had work programs for kids like this to pay off their debts so they could learn how long it takes to earm 10K.
Whoever it is needs to be caned.
