Treatment facility in St. Helens evacuated because of bomb scare

ST. HELENS, Ore. -- A treatment facility at 185 N. 4th has been evacuated after someone found what appears to be a pipe bomb.

Someone walked into the treatment facility at about 2 p.m. and placed the object on the counter and said something to the effect of, “look what I found.”

Police say they don’t believe the person had any ill intent.

The bomb squad from Salem is on its way.

There are no street closures.
