GRESHAM, Ore. - TriMet workers restored service to their Blue Line trains in Gresham Wednesday morning after a tree fell onto overhead power lines Tuesday afternoon.
It damaged several MAX cars and caused a service disruption throughout Tuesday afternoon and evening.
At around 4 p.m. Tuesday, a large tree fell onto power lines and hit a westbound MAX train between the Gresham Central Transit Center and Cleveland Avenue MAX Station.
No one was injured. MAX passengers had to switch to shuttle buses and many were stuck waiting in the cold weather for more than an hour.
