TriMet: Pedestrian struck by MAX train in downtown Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – A pedestrian was struck by a TriMet MAX train in downtown Portland Tuesday morning.

It happened at S.W. 6th Avenue and Clay Street, according to a TriMet spokesperson.

Medics took the pedestrian to a hospital. The person was awake and conscious, according to TriMet.

TriMet said riders should expect delays because the Green and Yellow MAX lines were disrupted. Service was restored at 10 a.m., TriMet said.
