Troopers: Suspect crashed stolen motorcycle then fled

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man police said stole a motorcycle fled after crashing into the back of an SUV on a highway off-ramp on Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect, Andrew Joseph Pulver, crashed the stolen motorcycle into the back of the SUV and was tossed into the rear window, according to state police troopers. He was hurt, but still managed to get up and flee on foot.

The crash happened at the Johnson Creek Blvd ramp off of I-205. Police said Pulver ran towards SE 82nd Avenue.

Troopers and Clackamas County deputies searched the area for him but came up empty.

Witnesses said he was bleeding badly, so police think he may seek medical care.

Neither the driver of the Mercedes that Pulver hit nor the passenger was injured in the crash.

Pulver, 29, is accused of stealing the motorcycle in The Dalles. He has ties to Wasco County, as well as Clackamas and Washington Counties.

Pulver is 5’7”, 145 points and has brown hair with blue eyes.
