Trucks stolen from Portland school's shop class found

Two trucks stolen from a Portland school's shop class have been found.

Someone took the trucks Monday from Meek Pro Technical School in Northeast Portland.

Students were working to restore the trucks, a 1979 Ford pickup and a 1974 Ford Camper Special.

Portland Public Schools spokesmanChristine Miles said a man bought the trucks from the thieves intending to use them as scrap metal.

Once he realized they were stolen, he contacted the school.

One of the trucks has already been returned and the other one will be shortly.
