VANCOUVER, Wash. - ODOT cameras captured what appears to be a man suspected of leading police on a chase in a stolen car early Wednesday morning.
Police dispatchers said the chase began in Fairview near Gresham just before 3 a.m. and made its way across the Glenn Jackson Bridge spanning the Columbia River.
The suspect made it up Interstate 205 into Vancouver where officers used spike strips to try and stop him.
The suspect then jumped out of the car and started running near Mill Plain Boulevard. That's when he was caught on camera heading into a wooded area.
A police dog was brought in to track him down and Vancouver Police arrested the suspect soon afterward.
Video shot at the scene showed police pulling evidence from an older Honda coupe with a badly damaged driver's side front wheel.
So far, he has not been identified.
bad car = bad driver!
INTEGRA!
Pro tip for this moron that got arrested.. and glad he did. When you commit crimes crossing State lines you only screw yourself even more. Lol.
I know Honda owns Acura but the vehicle is an older Acura coupe, not Honda.
@SelfPossessed It says 'Integra' on the left rear side. So, unless that is a current Acura, it is a 2006ish Honda.Â
@SelfPossessed  But that is definately a Honda H on the trunk lid. Also some places have sold Honda Integras.
ODOT has cameras in Washington? Can't Washington afford their own?
How are they able to arrest someone in WA if they're from OR? I thought you had diplomatic immunity or something.
