Vancouver couple died in murder-suicide, autopsy shows

VANCOUVER, Wash. --A couple whose bodies were found in a Vancouver home this week died of a murder-suicide, the Clark County Medical Examiner's Office reported Friday.

An autopsy showed Cheryl L. Honey, 57, died from a gunshot wound to the chest and arm that was determined to be a homicide.

Her partner, Robert G. Hedgers, 51, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, according to a news release from the Clark County Medical Examiner's Office.

No other details were released on Friday about circumstances surrounding the murder-suicide investigation.

The bodies of Honey and Hedgers were found Wednesday evening at a residence at 3207 N.E. 135th Avenue.

The Columbian newspaper reported the couple had recently gotten engaged.
