Vancouver police: 3 people of interest in apartment arson case
Police released surveillance photos of three people of interest in the case.

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help identifying three people of interest in an arson that destroyed an apartment complex under construction earlier this month.

Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said police are interested in the three men because they were captured on security cameras at a store near the apartment building around the time the fire started on June 20. Police released surveillance photos of the men on Monday.

The fire destroyed a four-story apartment complex located at 800 S.E. Tech Center Drive. The fire started around 3:20 a.m.

It’s unclear what started the fire. Natural gas helped fuel the flames until a utility crew shut off the line.

Crews from several agencies responded to the fire.

No one was hurt.

Anyone with information about the three men is asked to call the Vancouver police tip line at 360-487-7399.
