GRESHAM, Ore. – A semi tractor-trailer trying to avoid a car crashed into a concrete barrier on Interstate 84 Friday night.
The crash happened just after 8:30 p.m.
Police say the car swerved into traffic after it entered the freeway from 181st. The truck tried to avoid it but clipped the car.
Both the car and the truck spun out, and the truck crashed into the concrete barrier and went partially down an embankment.
The wreck left the rear end of the semi sticking up in the air above the barrier.
Crews planned to close all westbound lanes of Interstate 84 near 181st just after 11:30 p.m. so they could tow away the wrecked semi.
The westbound lanes should be closed for no more than an hour, according to ODOT.
The truck was carrying apples and other produce.
There were no injuries.
