Wash. archives building doubles as nuclear bomb shelter
WA Fallout Shelter
In this Dec. 20, 2012 photo shows a tunnel that once served as an escape route to the fallout shelter at the Washington state archives building in Olympia, Wash. Though this particular tunnel is now closed off, a series of tunnels, many no longer in use, still run from the Capitol to the safety of the archives building, which was built in the 1960s.
