"There were signs," acid hoaxer says in new tell-all book

i see she's not getting enough attention again.....maybe we should lock her up,she will get lots of attention there.

I guess she was going to find a way to make her attention-whoring working one way or the other.  Schizophrenia is a disease - this is being a dumbass.

I am strong advocate for mental illness awareness, if she truly is repentant of her hoax and wanted to make mental illness more understandable, she should be doing this for free.

A lot of commenters are wondering what publisher would have published this book. My bet is that it is self published. I have a writer friend and she tells me self publishing is now considered viable. Sometimes a self published book is popular and then the author gets noticed and "picked up". I doubt that this subject will be one that people will be anxious to read, but I also think that Body Dysphoria is a real thing and many people suffer from it. The book is obviously part of her healing process, and whether or not it sells is not as important as the fact that she has confronted her own actions. In this day and age of people who have no moral compass at all, I give her credit for coming clean and trying to help others. She was wrong, she harmed herself and others and now she wants to step up to the plate. She'll come here and read these comments and likely feel some hurt. I hope she reads this one, because I wish her well and I congratulate her on her progress. People can change. People are capable of redemption. 

Since she wants to shed light on mental illness she should donate all proceeds of the book to a mental health charity.

Disappointed that KATU is promoting her book. I hope nobody buys it. She doesn't deserve to make money off of this.

The book cover looks so good, someone must have spent a lot of time in Photoshop making her that way.  They

Who in the world would buy this book? I'm no psychiatrist, but based on what I've read about her the problem isn't body image or OCD, it's extreme narcissism. Wonder if she's ever heard of Boderline Personality Disorder?

Oh well, people like her have no problem humiliating themselves even further if it gives them the attention they crave. Too bad Mona Krueger has decided to 'profit' (and I use that term loosely as I doubt either of them will see a dime from this) off the destructive mental illness of another.

I always thought most crazy people don't realize they are crazy.

The tiltle of her next book is "Fooled you Once Shame on you, Fooled you Twice I've got a Best Seller".

The best thing to come out of her hoax is that she did it to herself and no other innocent victim!

I dated a girl for 2 weeks, it took almost a month or two to break up with her.  You know they're a mental case when you're told, "Just don't call me psycho."

 

This is seems to fit that bill..

She's still working to get the attention that she craves.  She hasn't been cured.

 

I can't believe that any publisher would print this.

Wheweeee....this poor girl needs mental health care. 

So who opts to publish this rubbish? They're going to cash in too, IF people buy it. Just say NO. No possible way would I buy this book and support her. She's done enough damage to herself and to the public that took pity on her.

I think perhaps she’s still a little mentally ill if she thinks people are going to buy this crap.

I would hope that the money she gets goes ENTIRELY to charity, since the entire scheme was born of a fraud.

The media is just a pawn for these idiots.  This woman is a criminal who cost taxpayers and took police from other "real" crimes.  Why is the media pandering to her?

So, when will she appear on Oprah?

Why are the media promoting this fraudster? The book should be about 1 paragraph long and entitle: "I did it all by myself and got paid for it". Is the "book" part of her community service?

I will definitely NOT be buying her book.  She got her 15 minutes of infamy, now she should just go away.

I hope nobody buys this book.  How dare she make money off a "Look at me! Look at me!" stunt that are up so many public resources and kind donations.

Sympathy is the wrong word.  More like pity.

I still feel a lot of sympathy for this woman.  She was pretty and must have been in a lot of pain to do that to herself.  She will have to live with that scarred face for the rest of her life.   I do think what she did was wrong though, especially trying to make up some non-existent perpetrator.  I don't think many people will buy the book though. 

Oh puh - leeeeeeze! We don't need to know what triggered your self-induced acid attack! We don't want anyone to mimic the very idea. 

 

Get some mental help instead.
