Woman dies after car wreck in Northeast Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. - A woman died after a crash in Northeast Portland Wednesday night. Medical personnel were able to initially revive her on the way to the hospital, but she later died.
The crash happened just after 5:30 p.m. at Northeast 24th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, when officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman in the driver seat of a wrecked car.
She appeared to be unconscious and medical personnel tried to revive her with chest compressions, but at some point she was determined to be dead.
Police sent information regarding the crash to the media and stated that the woman involved had died, possibly after suffering some type of medical emergency prior to the crash. However, they later announced that the woman had been revived on the way to the hospital; however, she later died at the hospital.
Sandy Boulevard was immediately shut down at the intersection for the investigation. Police expect the road will be closed for three to five hours to give the Major Crash Team time to process the scene.

Feel bad for her family, if they too were given the bad, the good, and then the bad, news. I think anyone who has lost a loved one unexpectedly can appreciate those first few moments when you don't believe it and are somehow thinking they might come back... very sad.
"However" seems to be the term of the day with this sad story.Â

If she was declared dead then why was she being transported in an ambulance to a hospital? Once they are declared dead they stay where they were declared dead.

If they do CPR the can't use solid organs. With skin and eyes they can be dead to harvest those.
