WOODBURN, Ore. -- When officers approached a man reported to have been trespassing on the Woodburn High School campus, he put up quite a fight before being arrested, police said.
Rudy Rodriguez-Ortiz, 22, was arrested on charges including two counts of assaulting police officers and trespassing.
Police said two officers spotted Rodriguez-Ortiz and recognized him as a suspect in trespassing on campus. The officers said Rodriguez-Ortiz was aggressive toward them. One officer had to be seen by a doctor for injuries to his face and arms. He was treated and released.
Rodriguez-Ortiz received several scrapes and bruises to his face and arms. Police took him to the Marion County Jail. Police said Rodriguez-Ortiz was also wanted on a warrant for assault from an earlier incident.
