Fort Hood suspect appeals forcible-shaving ruling

FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) — Attorneys for the suspect charged in the Fort Hood shooting spree have filed their appeal of rulings that he can have his beard forcibly shaved before his murder trial.
An Army statement says Maj. Nidal Hasan's attorneys filed their appeal Wednesday with the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
The appeal also seeks to have the military judge presiding over his case, Col. Gregory Gross, removed, claiming he is biased against Hasan.
Last month, the U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals upheld Gross' order to shave Hasan. His court-martial remains on hold pending the appeals.
The 42-year-old Army psychiatrist faces the death penalty if convicted in the 2009 attack that killed 13 and wounded more than two dozen others on the Central Texas Army post.

Major Nidal Hasan is STILL a member of the United States military, and therefore must adhere to military guidelines regarding facial hair.

When he gets out (if ever), or is released from military duty and custody, then he will be free to grow his whiskers as long as he likes.
Â
He made the choice to join the military and to uphold and abide by its regulations of his own volition. He obviously failed on his part, but that does not release him from the military's hold over him.
Exactly what part of justice involves shaving someone? Â Leave it the f alone and stop stalling...no one needs to shave his beard to exact justice for God's sake.
Shave the SOB, he didn't worry about his beard during his years of service, but now that he is going to face the grim reaper, he wants to claim religious exemption. That's BS, I'm not buying into his little fantasy world where he is a victim. He should be executed a.s.a.p.
Â
@Kachina he knows hes going to be convicted. he is just making things as difficult and irritating as he can before it happens.
Why is he still alive again......
Since fanatic Muslims seem to have no problem telling others how to dress and groom themselves, I would have thought Mr. Nidal Hasan would understand.

Â
I think they should hose him down with a fire hose that is pumping nare. Why is this guy sttill alive? It's not like he can say he did not do it.. Stop messing around and lable this a Terror Attack since he was shouting"Allah is Great" as he was shooting unarmed people. Take him to the Bayonet range and use him for a practice dummy. Then throw him in a pit and throw some dead pigs over him. Then make posters and mail them to the knowin Jihadist's with a caption that says" This will be you if you kill Americans and we catch you"
use bacon grease instead of shaving cream
I'll be relieved when there's closure to this monster.
@Sean D I'd like to see a nice hole in the middle of his forehead. That would set his picture of well.
Good God, why are we bothering talking about HAIR when SUMMARY EXECUTION should be the order of the day??
