HOOD RIVER, Ore. - There's nothing quite like a sea of fruit trees in bloom to soothe your blues and brighten your spirits.
The annual Blossom Festival starts this Friday in Hood River. It's the region's official celebration of the arrival of spring and is a tradition that dates back more than 50 years.
This year's events include a craft show, wine and beer tasting, and Earth Day celebration and much more.
The main stars of the show, though, are the beautiful pink and white fruit tree blossoms that you can view along a 35-mile tour route. Many farms along the route also offer special activities for those passing by.
