PORTLAND, Ore. - Sea otters are cute and adorable, but do you know much else about them?

For example, did you know they can dive up to 300+ feet when foraging for food or that they are one of the few mammals known to use tools?

They are also an endangered species and every year, the folks at Defenders of Wildlife organize and promote Sea Otter Awareness Week to teach people about the integral role that sea otters play in the ecosystem.
