How much - or how little - can Thanksgiving for 10 people cost?
By Susan Harding KATU NewsPORTLAND, Ore. - Every year, the American Farm Bureau releases their study on how much it should cost to serve Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people. This year, they say you can put together the annual big dinner with a 16-pound bird, stuffing, rolls, cranberry sauce, peas, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie (with whipped cream!) for about $4 per person. Four dollars per person? Seriously? Shoppers at a local store had their doubts. So KATU reporter Susan Harding took up the challenge and shopped for all the items on the Bureaus' list at a local chain supermarket. So how much will it really cost? The answer might surprise you.
