Cool homemade Halloween costumes for under $10

This year, we went to the KATU kids for costume ideas. Angelica Thornton's son, Soren, decided his baby brother should be an octopus. The costume on ChasingFireflies.com costs $58.

Natali Marmion's son, Luke, picked a blast from the past – the genie from Disney's Aladdin. It costs $70 online.

And Deb Knapp's daughter, Lilah, wanted to be a strip of bacon at a cost of a sizzling $25.

So we set out to create each of these looks for under $10 with our crafty consultant, Lisa LeDoux.
