PORTLAND, Ore. - A fake charity is tugging at the heartstrings of Vancouver residents, calling them up on the phone and asking for donations to help the families of slain police officers.

The scammers say they are from 'Corporations with Character' and caller ID shows they are calling from a 206 area code but that charity does not exist.
