HILSBORO, Ore. - When KATU's Restaurant Report Card crew went to Juan Colorado in Hillsboro, it was trying to clean up its act. Now it has passed a mandatory restaurant re-inspection with score of 94 out of 100.
However, it's been a hard road for the restaurant - which almost failed its health inspection in April, with a score of 70, and failed its inspection in October. It's October score was 57 out of 100. Below 70 is an "F."
In the failing report, inspectors wrote up problems like too much grease in the kitchen, food residue, debris and a foul odor.
"Now we have fixed everything," said Juan Colorado's owner, Joel Soltero. "We have fixed it all, and taken care of everything."
Indeed, that's what its newest report shows.
