UNDATED – A warning has been issued for users of the hugely popular Facebook social networking Web site.

Internet security experts said two “bot-net” gangs are bombarding members with emails trying to get a hold of their passwords. The tactic is commonly referred to as “phishing.”

Facebook is warning its members in an effort to slow down the phishing attacks. The phishing messages look like regular emails in your Facebook email box and advise people to activate a new log-in system which then sends you to a screen asking for your password.

Users are then asked to download an update tool, which is actually a Trojan horse that steals your online banking and other sensitive personal information.
