Police nab driver with entire mobile office jammed into car

BERLIN (AP) - Forget texting while driving. German police say they nabbed a driver who had wired his Ford station wagon with an entire mobile office.
Saarland state police said Friday the 35-year-old man was pulled over for doing 130 kph (80 mph) in a 100 kph zone while passing a truck Monday.
Built on a wooden frame on his passenger seat they found a laptop on a docking station tilted for easy driver access, a printer, router, wireless internet stick, WLAN antenna, and an inverter to power it all.
A navigation system and cellphone mounted to the windshield completed the array.
Since there was no evidence he used the office while moving, he got away with a €120 ($153) speeding ticket and a possible fine for having unsecured items in his car.

If having a lot of "unsecured" items in your cab is a crime, I'm in real trouble - everytime I take a right-hand corner, all the stuff in my "office" slides over on top of me! My poor Ranger is overloaded all the time by the stuff I need to do my job. I really need a Transit "Connect" or a Sprinter, but I can't afford one.
What does he do if he ever has to get out of the car? All that equipment is just temptation for a thief.
Â
I miss driving on the Autobahn...
"fine for having unsecured items in his car."
Â
That's a crime? Everything in your car is potentially unsecured when you walk away from it.
Oh I shudder to think what is in those bottles .. if its not water.
Â
 @lee986321 Why, Lee...
Es ist köstlich deutsches Bier in den Flaschen!
(It's delicious German beer in the bottles!)
Â
What else do they drink in Germany??? LOL!
@lee986321 Nah, too messy. They do sell those pee bottles for pilots that would hold a lot more liquid.

Hmm were are the Donuts and the coffee and the water cooler?
Â
Where is the beer cooler?
How do I get one? Â that's so cool. I want one! Looks just like a cop car.

What about real criminals?  not working class people. this is propaganda!  what about tailgating? now that's the most dangerous thing a driver can do, and almost everyone does it, and its always preventable and almost every social media or agency goes out of their way to mislabel the facts. I'm tired of people who tell me to wear my seat belt, slow down, and don't talk on your phone.  when they are always, YES ALWAYS, people who have the mindsets that  think these are the laws that save lives, they are confused by insurance propaganda or something, do the math I've driven +/- million miles countless accidents all no fault, except one, but, that was because a trespasser hurt himself  near my parked car.  anyhoo, going fast is not what causes accidents. not being able to stop is the problem. http://www.wikihow.com/Avoid-Car-Accidents  this link will give you a list of how to prevent accidents but, its all bologna, or a misrepresentation. you can't stop for anything in two seconds, unless your going 35, and that is not a pretty stop even on dry pavement. When you tailgate or drive faster than you can see, you are threatening everyone in fount, left, and right of you with a deadly weapon.Â
Â
I have to give kudos to Washington State, they are the only state to have ever really enforced a the tailgating law for at least a while.Â
Looks like your typical police squad car these days. Talk about being hypocritical! LOL
Pretty cool.
Â
I have a small parabolic antenna for my vehicle when I need WiFi and don't have a good wireless signal. It really works well. My normal outdoor 20dBi omnidirectional antenna at home gives me good range for all my property.
Â
I wish my iPhone and iPad had a plug in for an external antenna so I can get better WiFi signals from long range.
It looks like this person was "war driving" and he was let go. Â Â The giant antenna used to capture people's wireless signal. Â He was probably stealing identities, credit cards, and more. Â To bad LE isn't up to date on this.
SUPERDORK!!!!
Doc Brown's DeLorean ain't got nothing on this guy, well except the whole time travel thing.
He was working on just that when he got pulled over.
Most drivers in the United States have the same thing....it's ironically named a "smart phone".
Throw in a shotgun and you have a typical American police cruiser. What's the big deal?
