SEATTLE (AP) - A 21-month-old boy plunged from a second-story apartment window to the ground 20 feet below, but appeared to suffer no major injuries.

The accident happened at about 9:50 a.m. on Saturday.

Seattle Fire Department medics say Chris Ruffin Jr. may have fractured a leg, though. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.

The toddler's father, Chris Ruffin, says he left the room where Chris Ruffin Jr. was playing for just a few minutes. When the father returned, he saw that the screen was pushed out of the window and discovered the boy had plunged to the ground 20 feet below.

The father says he called 911 and rushed down to aid the toddler, who had landed on rough hard dirt and cement.

The father says he grabbed the toddler's 10-month-old baby brother, Cincere Ruffin, before he could tumble off the ledge, too. He says the baby was about to crawl out of the window after his brother.
