Naked and zapped in OC; police tase DUI suspect

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say a naked man suspected of drunken driving had to be stunned by police with a taser after his van hit a car and nearly rolled into a police cruiser in Santa Ana.

Police Commander Stephen Colon says a driver flagged down officers Wednesday night and pointed out a van driving away that had just hit his car.

Officers pulled the man over, but as they walked toward the van it started to roll back, stopping an inch before it hit the patrol car.

Colon says the driver was fumbling in the front seat and refused to put his hands up.

Policed zapped him in the head and neck with a taser, then saw that he was completely naked.

Colon says the man, whose name was not released, was being tested for drugs or alcohol.
