Cops find drugs worth $246 million in steamroller

SYDNEY (AP) - Australian police seized 237 million Australian dollars ($246 million) worth of cocaine and methamphetamine found inside a steamroller shipped from China.
Australian Federal Police said Wednesday that they arrested a Canadian man and a U.S. man in Sydney after finding 770 pounds of cocaine and meth. The men were charged with importing drugs and face a maximum of life in prison if convicted.
It was the police agency's second major drug bust in a week.
On Friday, police said officials had tracked down a boat carrying 440 pounds of cocaine to Australia after it ran aground in the small island nation of Tonga.
A corpse was found on board. Officials are trying to determine the cause of death.

Drug pushers get "Steam Rolled"
Those things are great for making thin, flaky pie crusts!
@Mikey Not bad for making 'extra thin' Pizza crust too.
FYI Australia - That is a road roller. I don't think even the chinese have used steam engine powered rollers for quite some time.
@RatchetRanger It shows how up to date the writer of this story is with terminology. I believe steam rollers were gone before Eisenhower started the federal highway projects..... Although some did have water on them to use as a cooling lubricant and cleaning agent while the machine was in use and this would cause steam when it hit the hot asphalt. HA HA HA HA And I have never worked in that industry, just sat stopped at a flagger for an uncountable amount of time in the 37 years I have driven. Although I was a large diesel mechanic in the U.S.C.G.
@RatchetRanger ....and just how did they get all those cocoa plants in the rice paddies????????
Cause of death? Who cares? He's smuggling death into your country! This just saves court time and prison expenses.....
"Officials are trying to determine the cause of death". I'm thinkin' one h3ll of a suicide.
Crazy
OK this is new. I have heard of alot of differnt ways to smuggle drugs but never inside a steamroller.
@cpt.iceman Oh but yes. The Mannheim Steamrollers have been doing it for years. (jk)
@WendyTeagarden Yes, that is appropriate as we approach the holidays, isn't it?
