Girl, 5, back to class after bubble gun suspension

MOUNT CARMEL, Pa. (AP) - A 5-year-old kindergartner is headed back to class in central Pennsylvania after being suspended for comments she made to another girl about a pink toy gun that blows soapy bubbles
Officials say the girl, whose name has not been released, told one of her classmates in the Mount Carmel Area School District she was going to shoot her with a Hello Kitty pink bubble gun machine earlier this month. She was later suspended 10 days, but the discipline was reduced to two.
The Patriot-News reports Robin Ficker, an attorney representing the family, says the girl will return to class at Mount Carmel Elementary School on Thursday.
Ficker has said the girl didn't even have the bubble gun with her and has never fired a real gun.

But now she's on double secret probation.
Sure, it's all fun and games until somebody puts an eye out with those bubbles.
@Kushfan But what you don't understand is that she had a magazine on that gun that could produce over 30 bubbles at a time.........
@Kushfan They use to say, "There ought to be a law." Nobody says that anymore, there're already hundreds of thousands that should cover pretty much anything.
This girl learned a valuable lesson. She learned that....that.....um....she learned.....um....oh crap, she is 5, how can she learn anything this complex at 5.
I sure hope this dangerous little girl is rehabilitated! Who knows what she might do next?

We know it's a gateway toy.

Yeah Hello Kitty bubble guns might lead to....

Barbies....
You can have my Hello Kitty pink bubble gun machine when you rip it out of my cold, dead hands.
Wow this school administrator needs to get a difference career.
Â
I bet this person was just jealous. I mean why does the girl get a Hello Kitty Bubble Gun and all she gets is paperwork at home?

Really? I can't believe that the school systems in the US has been reduced to this and punishing kids for pretend sword play (without toy swords even). We are talking about 5 and 7 year olds. This is just ridiculous.Â
@WCharles Gma Yep it's when emotion over runs logic and common sense and seems to be running wild in the US in general not just the school systems.
