Man claims IRS agent coerced sex by threatening tax penalty
EUGENE, Ore. -- A Fall Creek resident filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Government and an IRS agent that he alledges pressured him into sex by threatening a tax penalty.
The law firm representing Vincent Burroughs filed the suit with the U.S. District Court in Eugene on Jan. 25 "as a result to coersive conduct by Defendant (Dora) Abrahamson," an Internal Revenue Service agent from Cottage Grove.
Burroughs claims that in August of 2011 Abrahamson called him and said he would be audited by the IRS. He claims that at the time he didn't know her.
Burroughs says that he had not met Abrahamson before those calls, nor had he heard that he was being audited by the IRS.
"She was sending me texts that she wanted to come out, give me massages because she needed to help me relax," Burroughs said in a phone interview with KVAL News.
Over the next two months, Burroughs alledges that Abrahamson sent him several flirtatious text messages - offering to give massages, asking to meet him, and sending racy photos of herself to his cell phone.
"She said she knew more than my mother knew about me," said Burroughs.
In the lawsuit, Burroughs says in September 2011 Abrahamson came to his home wearing provocative attire.
"Next thing I know, she's at my gate, honking...so I opened my gate, she came into my property dressed exactly like she texted me," Burroughs said.
The lawsuit states: "She said that she could impose no penalty, or a 40% penalty, and that if he would give her what she wanted, she would give him what she needed."
As a result, Burroughs had sex with Abrahamson in his home that night.
In the lawsuit, Burroughs says he was "sexually harassed and intimidated."
Officials with the IRS were not available for comment when KVAL News called them on Friday.
Burroughs is seeking restitution from the U.S. governemt for the IRS's part in employing Abrahamson and not properly enforcing their rules involving the privacy act.
Ummmmm, why not contact the IRS to verify if this auditor is an actual employee, and if so, request a new auditor? I think there's more than meets the eye in this story.
Sue her. not the IRS. Â When you sue the IRS you are suing the taxpayer.
@sortbait If she's taking advantage of her position then the IRS is liable too. I'd include them in the suit as well.
This gives a completely NEW perspective to being AUDITED....;)
Wait... this episode of Fresh Prince was on just this morning. Didn't Carlton get her on tape?
this sounds like the plot for a really cheesy porn flick, and que 70s funk music in 3..2..1..
brown chickn brown cow
Note to self::: Never call the IRS and say who do you have to do to get a tax break around here...
Now I think know how donald trump gets his tax bill down...
There are a lot of comments on here that allude to something like "it depends on what she looks like."Â Let's get one thing straight...her name is Dora...enough said.
"Dear Penthouse, my tax lady came over to help me file for an extension but it wasn't my return that got extended that night..."
@negativerep Best comment vote (next to Festivus and his 1080 long form)
And as always, please heed the warning of "if your erection lasts more than 4 hours, seek medical help immediatly".
3 hours and 59 minutes? No problem.
Great photos of the lawsuit. Really brings life to the story.
@2012 Hope and Change  Crayons are available in the gift shop.
You make me feel like dancing.
I don't get it....no tax penalty and sex.....win/ win if you ask me.
Was she wearing a blue dress?
@WendyTeagarden Not the one that's in the Smithsonian.Â
Thats part of the tax code?
It's in the portion that says close your eyes (if she is fugly) and have at it.
that would be subsection -85BJ
or subsection 69-2kanchew
@oodathunked  Section 13-85B
I thought this breaking story was in the "news" several days ago?
So if I get this straight..... pay tax penalty or sex with agent and no penalty.
Â
I'd have to see a photo of Dora before I could call it a win win.
Â
worse case it could be something alone the lines of this.....
fast forward to 2:25

If true and the defense has definable audio proof, She is fried . If this guy wins he could be set for life. He would still file. I wonder. How much of this happens and no one reports it.Oh and isn't solicitation illegal? To me She just became a prostitute.
@lee986321 Why does the defense need audible proof?
This occurred in 2011 and he is just now filing a lawsuit?? Hum.  Maybe homeboy just got caught and figured he'd blame the IRS chic instead.  Seems to me if this was a true story, all he needed to do was call the IRS, ask for her supervisor and forward those text messages to him/her. End of story. . .
@Justanother1 Not when you can get laid AND get a nice potential winfall.
Â
Yet, if the sexes were reversed everyone would be up in arms.  But, because its a male victim everyone makes jokes and calls BS.  While it very well may be a load of horse dung, we can't just write it off because it was a male victim.  I'm thinking he went along with it willingly and then still got the penalty and was pissed.  There again, I'm assuming that and none of us internet news junkies really knows what transpired.
@MotorcycleGoat If she didn't penalize him, she's going to now.
".....pressured him into sex by threatening a tax penalty."
Â
And that was before she threatened him with a penalty for early withdrawal.Â
@Kushfan Well, if they are going to tax pole dancing then they need to be fair and tax the other stuff, too.
@WendyTeagarden  @Kushfan You mean the pole itself?
be nice or I may have to sue you in two years.......
@WendyTeagarden That's not what you meant at all.  I'm going to have to ask you show me your 1040.  Long form, if you please.
@Festivus No, the "art" of pole dancing
@Kushfan I bet the threats really escalated when he accidentally made his deposit in the wrong account!
Oh father, oh the shame....
Did he not have the option to call the cops and turn her in..... Â No, he was forced into it, whatever!
@stoneloc What are the police going to do? Ask her to leave the property or cite her for trespassing? Real good waste of an officers time.
Makes me want an audit!
sex and no tax penalty? Â hmm.... i'd have to turn that down myself.
hmmm, a woman advances on a man, obviously abusing her authority...but he has sex with her...now he is filing suit...I think something is missing here.Â
This guy is full of s...!
@swimbad I doubt it. Filing a bogus/fraudulent suit is not worth it.
Well, if it reduces my liability, I guess you could twist my arm...
@Festivus You might change your name to Fisstifuss!
@Festivus I don't think it was your arm that she was interested in..........
