Pennsylvania man throws fit over cheese on burger
DOVER, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania man who spent some good cheddar on a burger faces charges after allegedly throwing a tantrum because his order included cheese.
Police in York County say 35-year-old Sean Varone knocked over a trash can, threw a high chair and assaulted an employee at a Springettsbury Township McDonald's last week.
The York Dispatch (http://bit.ly/VRrGC3 ) reports that Varone, of Dover Township, is also accused of grabbing an employee's cellphone as she tried to call 911 and chucking it across the parking lot before fleeing.
A criminal complaint was filed against Varone on Tuesday. Court records don't list an attorney for him and a phone listing couldn't immediately be located Wednesday.

Sean was very cheesed off.
"......and a phone listing couldn't immediately be located Wednesday."
Â
I'm guessing he chucked the phone too.
@Kushfan It was a cheesey phone anyway
Once again you get right to the meat of the issue.
He could have got a 50 cent cheese refund.
Sean, Sean , Sean ........maybe you ought to do tacos......maybe hot dogs !
 @Rob C 503 tacos have cheese....no dice
the story with woman that called 911 3 times for mcdonalds not giving her chicken mcnuggets is better
at least he didn't have a repeating Cross Bow
Just remember before saying that they do not exist, I can honestly say the do.
I wonder does he have an allergy to cheese? I have an allergy to cheese, but I won't go as far as to throw a fit, I will wind saying it it happens again I won't return.
Burger King where I live would pile on the Pickels when ordered without. I'm Alergic to the Pickling not the pickel. I stopped going in there after they told me to just take off the pickels. This did not happen once or twice it happened everytime I wanted a whopper. Now I only goto Burger King when I leave the city I live in. Funny I have never had a problem with my whoppers since.;;But to throw a fit and assault somebody is uncalled for. Just goto the next Fast Food Joint..
 Holy cow (no pun intended), don't get this guyâs order wrong!!! Any anger management issues there big guy? Wow
 @dkgiovenco DK, puns in OffBeat are not only intended but required. Sorry, I didn't mean to get cheesy about it....    ;p
The cheese is about as real as the Mcrib! The guy does have issues he needs to deal with.
I loved the Mcrib untill I read what it's made from... Sometimes you should not do background on you're favorate foods. YUUUUUUKKKKKEEEE
 @cpt.iceman Yeah, I read about that to. And they call it "Restructured Meat Technology", ha!
Â
It's amazing what passes for food these days.
 @WendyTeagarden Soylent Pink?
Pink slime
 @cpt.iceman I can't eat at McDonald's when they're offering the McRib, I'm allergic to pork, and it cross contaminates the hamburgers (I assume on the grill). So there must be SOME pork in it - but what parts of the porker . . . after looking it up, I'd say I wouldn't eat it even if I could!
 @cardais Now just WHO told you that was pork?
Â
Haven't you ever noticed the local stray ****** (censored) population declines whenever they offer the McRib? Why do you think the ribs are so small? ;-)
Â
Barbecue sauce disguises a whole lot of things.
 @cpt.iceman Do Not, I repeat DO NOT, tell me what is in a Jack In the Box Taco.
@beernpizza How else can get 2 for 99 cents????????
Lactose Intolerant!
@WTFWTFÂ Â more likely "people intolerant".
 @WendyTeagarden Cheeseburger Intolerant.
And in general a real a**hole.
Hopefully they'll feed him nothing but government cheese in the slammer.

Repeating Cross bows can really suck.
Hulk hate cheese! Â HULK SMASH!!!
RAHR!!
Good thing he wasn't carrying or he might have acted out by killing people.Â
I'd say this incident was indicative of a list of issues this man has. Hopefully the employee wasn't hurt; that must've been a scary experience for her.
Maybe he was very explicit when he ordered his sandwich and said "And no cheese on that. NO cheese. I hate cheese, and do not want sheese on my sandwich. So please hold the cheese on that. And no cheese, either".
Â
Â
Or maybe he's just a nut.
 @RatchetRanger Actually, it's kinda fun to go through a drive-thru and order a cheeseburger and say 'hold the cheese'.
 @beernpizza  @RatchetRanger I do it all the time. If I ask for a double hamburger, most attendants are dumb-struck. When I follow up by saying "a McDouble, hold the cheese", their little light comes on and they can function again.
@RatchetRanger There are an increasing number of people who are not "nuts" but have difficulties with impulse control and anger management and very few problem-solving skills. That's why I don't think its such a great idea to arm even more people in this country.Â
@peckishpete Hey, it's just Offbeat. I wasn't making any sort of statement, nor opening a dialogue for what is right or wrong with American society. Just trying for a few laughs. I think the gun-control discussion is under the article about the president talking gun-control.
 @peckishpete  @RatchetRanger He probably got lots of trophies for "just participating" as a kid. He is a creation of modern society.
Let's just put Ritalin in the water supply.
 @Altazi  @peckishpete  @RatchetRanger Alt- you took the words right outta my mouth. "Hey you got a D, here's a star"  "Oh, you're the first one out of the spelling bee because you can't spell dog, here's a ribbon"
Â
Kids today are coddled, helicopter parented and not taught how to lose with grace. They hit the real world and their heads explode because they don't have the tools to deal with it. Just my thought. Rant over.
Â
back to being a smart aleck.
@Altazi If what you say is true, then everybody under the age of 35 would be throwing chairs in fast-food restaurants. I haven't seen that happening.
Don't blame your bad day on the minimum wage employee just trying to survive.
Id throw a fit just eating at that dump
@LostSoul Then don't walk in
