San Francisco nudists sue to block proposed ban
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A group of San Francisco residents is suing the city to block a proposed ban on public nudity.
A lawsuit filed Wednesday in federal court in San Francisco claims an ordinance that city officials are considering would violate the civil rights of people who want to bare their bodies for personal or political reasons.
The Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote on the measure next week. It would prohibit nakedness on city streets, sidewalks and plazas at all times except during permitted fairs and parades, such as the city's annual gay pride event.
Lawyer Christina DiEduardo filed the case as a dozen or so of her clients stood outside the courthouse in varying states of undress.
DiEduardo says the ban is too broad and would inhibit the free speech of nudists who can't afford a permit.

We are all naked underneath our clothes.

Was she naked?
 @Kushfan Trust me. She is not an individual you would care to see moseying around the streets sans clothes.
What about non-nudists' right not to be assaulted by the sight of the nudists' ugly-ass bodies???
 @felines99 What is your problem with naked people?
 @Jamie I have no "problem with naked people" as long as I don't have to be confronted with the sight of them.. Overall, it is not a pleasant sight. There is a reason why people wear clothes. Most people are made uncomfortable having to view the private areas of others. It is truly an assault on the senses Your response simply reflects a society in which people are encouraged to bear all -- psychologically as well as physically -- on reality tv shows and the internet, as if this is a healthier way to live We are learning, as a society, that it is not..Â
 @cantcurestupid  @felines99 So using your "logic", if I choose to eat dinner or I choose to kill someone, eating dinner and murder are in "the same category" since they're both choices??? Someone is REALLY STUPID, and it isn't I.
@felines99 Thats where you are completely and totally wrong. It IS in the same catagory, its called CHOICE! You chose to bath yourself in smelly ass perfumes, they chose to bare all.
 @cantcurestupid  @felines99 Not even in the same category -- not even close. Uncomfortable feelings about nakedness go back as far as Genesis, when Adam and Eve were naked in the Garden of Eden. It is deeply rooted in our culture. In fact, the very word "shame" comes from the Greek word which means "to cover". To suggest that wearing objectionable perfume is in the same league is truly laughable.
@felines99 Well its an assault on my senses of what some people wear and call fashion these days, plus the horrible perfumes and cologne people seem to bath themselves in. Wheres the law to prevent that? You cant block one persons personal beliefe system and not block another.
Some of them refuse to shave their feet.
@Kushfan or their palms
Now those are some nicely shaven feet!!!!!
 @WendyTeagarden and it's a guy.. eew
@Jamie    others in Offbeat will get it.
 @WendyTeagarden I'm with ya
....would inhibit the free speech of nudists who can't afford a permit....or a pocket to carry it in.
 @WendyTeagarden well they could stick it up their *** in a baggy
 @whirledworld  @WendyTeagarden This is Frisco, probably put a price tag on it and call it a souvenir.
