'Smart' potty or dumb idea?
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Some of the weirdest gadgets at the International CES show are designed to solve problems you never knew you had.
Toilet training a toddler is no picnic, but iPotty from CTA Digital seeks to make it a little easier by letting parents attach an iPad to it. This way, junior can gape and paw at the iPad while taking care of business in the old-fashioned part of the plastic potty.
IPotty will go on sale in March, first on Amazon.com. It's expected to cost $39.99.
There are potty training apps out there that'll reward toddlers for accomplishing the deed. The company is also examining whether the potty's attachment can be adapted for other types of tablets, beyond the iPad.
"It's novel to a lot of people but we've gotten great feedback from parents who think it'd be great for training," said CTA product specialist Camilo Gallardo.
OMG, what next.? ... oh wait... never mind... I don't think I want to know... Â Â
@margay1 .....cute !
Let me know when there is an app to wipe their little behinds, I might be interested.
That is brilliant... After the kid is potty trained, it'll be useable again if it's a boy when he hits puberty.
It's all fine and dandy until junior gets carried away playing Angry Birds and ends up flipping a turd.

"Incoming!"
I'm not sure I'd want people to identify my product with pinching a loaf.
@RatchetRanger  Go wash your hands......
My kids and grandkids all went in with a good easy reading book......if needed
This is ridiculous. Similar to having DVD players in the backseat of many autos. Can children disconnect long enough to generate an imagination and think without being "fed". Â
Â
As the child grows to adulthood; "Honey, I'm all stove-up wheres the IPAD"?
iPods in bathrooms? What will they think of next? Playgrounds in restaurants?????????
 @WendyTeagarden Didn't McDonalds and Burger King try that for a number of years?
Completely assinine! Aside from the health issues, is this what you want to imprint on you infant ant an early age. That the world revolves around iPads ?!?!?!
Does it come in an adult size?
@JTesla I think they call it a smart phone.
 @WendyTeagarden  @JTesla That didn't work Wen, I p'd on my smart phone and now it won't work....hey, wait a minute....
@beernpizza You need to work on your aim, buddy.
