Day Trip Destination: Three Arch Rocks

Day Trip Destination: Three Arch Rocks

OCEANSIDE, Ore. - One of the Oregon Coast's most recognizable rock formations, aside from Cannon Beach's Haystack Rock of course, are the Three Arch Rocks located along a scenic route outside of Tillamook.

And on a mild February day, the landscape provided the perfect setting for some spectacular photographs.

During a leisurely walk along the beach in Oceanside over the weekend, I captured some great photos and couldn't resist sharing some of them here on KATU.com.  Check out my photo gallery by clicking the image below:

Oceanside is located west of Tillamook.  When approaching Tillamook on Highway 101, simply follow the signs for the Three Capes Scenic Route.

And if you go, be sure to take a walk through the tunnel that leads to a secluded beach area full of agates.  It's easy enough to find once you ask around.  And of course, there are plenty of other attractions to see in the area.
