WARRENTON, Ore. - If you've got military service under your belt, there's a unique camping opportunity on the Oregon coast that you may qualify for.
Camp Rilea, a military reservation located in Warrenton, is one of over 200 military facilities across the U.S. with overnight camping facilities.

The overnight camping consists of 10 RV spots with full hookups (including cable) that rent for $20 a night. The spots, located in a paved parking lot, are not fancy but they are very well maintained. There are no picnic tables or fire rings but there are showers and a dumpster nearby. You can check out a video tour below:
The amenities at Camp Rilea include a PX where you can pick up supplies, a free laundromat, a place to get something to eat (Kilroy's Pub & Grill) and much more. There is also a lake stocked with trout and beach access for authorized users. And recreational equipment is available for checkout.

Camp Rilea and the surrounding area is steeped in military history. If you decide to stay there, take a drive around the reservation to tour the memorials, view the large tanks and guns on display and learn more about Camp Rilea. Just be sure to avoid the off limits areas, which are clearly posted.

Fort Clatsop and Fort Stevens State Park are located nearby as well. And for coastal attractions, a short drive north will lead you to Astoria and the Long Beach Peninsula.
Reservations for Camp Rilea can be made by calling (503) 861-4052.
