50 places to fish within 60 minutes of Portland
By KATU.com StaffPORTLAND, Ore. - There's a new map available from the Oregon Department of Wildlife Web site that'll help you find some great places to fish within an hour of Portland. ODFW will be holding a special event in downtown Portland this weekend to officially roll out the new online fishing map and to talk about fish species and regulations. A selection of fishing rods will be on display as well. The event will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pioneer Courthouse Square. "Portland is a unique city," said Todd Alsbury, district fish biologist for ODFW's North Willamette Watershed. "Not only do we have great rivers, ponds and lakes to fish within a short drive of the city, we have a great diversity of fish available from trout to salmon to bass." |
