This morning, I headed out to the tree stand hoping to redeem myself from last night's disappointing miss and getting scoped. My dad and I weren't in the stand for more than 30 seconds, when we heard a buck rubbing his horns on a tree. Just minutes later, this beautiful buck stepped out from the timber and I dropped him in his tracks. Meat on the table!

GROSS! I am disappointed that KATU would allow someone to post a picture of a dead animal!

Meat on the table? Try Winco

YOU KILLED BAMBI'S DADDY! HOW COULD YOU!

This is disgusting. You should be eating a vegan, not a deer.

How could you kill this beatiful animal for food? You can eat meat by going to WinCo or Fast Food burger stands without having to work for it and appreciate what a challenge it takes to provide for yourself.

OK liberal non hunters, if you don't like what you see here, don't read it. Did you realize that the meat in winco was killed to? Hunters enjoy a sport and they deserve credit for their choice in a natural more healthy meat which they worked hard for

anonymous - I (grudgingly) don't mind when hunters kill for the 'meat', but as your post suggests, most hunters do what they do for 'sport'. So, their 'sport' is 'killing'. That's what is deplorable to me. To each his own, I guess.

I am a meat eater and what many have forgotten is that all meat was on the hoof. At least the meat eaters who are willing to take their own game understand that. Nice deer.

Sportsmen are the only true stewards of the land

Congrats, that's a beauty. Enjoy the feasts you'll have off it.
