Teen killed while sleeping at hunting camp

TERREBONNE, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a 14-year-old boy was shot to death while sleeping inside a motor home at a hunting camp in Central Oregon.

Sheriff Rodd Clark of Crook County says Justin Butler of Culver and his family were elk hunting at the family ranch in Terrebonne when gunshots were heard shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday. Those inside in the motor home turned on the lights and discovered the teen had been fatally shot in the head.

Clark says the shots came from a distance and no arrest had been made as of Monday afternoon.
