CLATSOP COUNTY - The Oregon State Police is trying to track down the person who shot and killed a spike bull elk and then left the entire animal behind.
The elk was found Monday in Clatsop County on Snow Point Road near milepost 2. The animal had been shot during a closed season and was left to rot.
The Oregon Hunter's Association is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
