RIDGEFIELD, Wash. - A 28-year-old man drowned Thursday evening in the east fork of the Lewis River.

Firefighters got the call around 8:15 p.m. that someone had gone under and they began searching immediately.

The man had reportedly been swimming with his girlfriend at Paradise Point State Park in Ridgefield when he went under and vanished.

Divers later recovered his body.  His name has not yet been released.
