KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — Laura Bush is in southern Oregon.

The Herald and News of Klamath Falls reports that the former first lady is visiting Crater Lake National Park until Saturday.

Park spokesman Mike Justin said Bush might participate in ranger-guided activities but no schedule has been announced. He said it's a private visit, and the park wants to respect her privacy.

Earlier this week, Bush took a three day rafting trip down the lower Rogue River with four personal women friends and a small contingent of Secret Service agents. She said that just before getting on the raft she used a Blackberry to contact her husband to wish him a happy 63rd birthday.
