PORTLAND, Ore. - Hundreds of seabirds found sick on the Oregon Coast arrived in California on Monday, courtesy of the U.S. Coast Guard.
The birds were taken to a center in California where they will finish recovering from a rare and deadly algae bloom that killed thousands of birds along the Oregon and Washington coasts.
Meantime, the Wildlife Center of the North Coast continues to care for hundreds of other sick seabirds.
If you would like to help , the center says they need scrubbing sponges and dishwashing soap to clean the birds.
