OREGON COAST - The killer foam on Oregon and Washington beaches has finally subsided but conservationists say it may be responsible for the deaths of more than 10,000 seaducks.

That's potentially 5 to 7 percent of their total West Coast population.

Thousands of other birds were also killed when the algae foam stripped the bird's feathers of waterproofing and they suffered hypothermia and died.
