Trash along the Hood to Coast route

Tools

Every year, relay runners make their way from Mount Hood to the Oregon coast for the Hood to Coast Relay and with so many people on the roads, there is bound to be some trash left behind along the way.

In the past, various pieces of garbage and even used toilet paper has ended up along the route.  Will this year be the same?  Has the problem gotten any better?
