If I were to run for office, a key point of my platform would be removing 10 stupid or outdated laws from the books for each new law created.

Try to understand what I'm saying. The government spending is not a faucet that is turned on and off. It's a constant flow that you can fine tune at most. Without doing anything, both McCain or Obama would still have faced a 1.3 trillion deficit for that first year.Â

Clinton handed Bush a budget surplus. Bush then handed Obama a budget deficit. Get it? Now, if you actually look at the numbers, the deficits are on their way down under Obama. We are heading on the right track in terms of debt, just like when Clinton took office with a budget deficit. It took him 4 years under amazing economic growth to get a zero budget deficit in his 5th year.Â
