Hillsboro bans e-cigarettes from city parks
With some e-cigarettes, it's hard to tell the difference between the electronic kind and the regular kind.

HILLSBORO, Ore. – City councilors voted Tuesday night to ban electronic cigarettes from public parks.

The ban will start immediately.

Each officer can decide to issue a warning or a ticket. You could be fined up to $500 though.

But for now the parks department is really focused on education so everyone is aware of the new law.

Two weeks ago, the council voted to ban e-cigarettes but the city charter requires a second vote.

Forest Grove passed a similar ban last month.
