Vancouver Mayor Leavitt to announce re-election bid today

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt will announce Thursday he's running for re-election, he told KATU News Wednesday night.
"I'm geared up and ready to go," he said. "We had a fundraiser tonight and raised a good chunk of change."
He said the amount of money he raised will be disclosed Thursday.
Leavitt was elected in November 2009 after beating 14-year incumbent Royce Pollard.
Before being mayor, Leavitt was a city councilor.
His afternoon announcement will be at a downtown business in Vancouver.
tim, dont take this the wrong way, but take your tolls and your crc and just go away, maybe to the other washington?
So far he hasn't done nearly as much damage as the mayor who preceded him. Â Most of the complaints we hear are from Pollard's puppets. Â Just a different version or take on how obama continues to blame Bush for everything. Â Pollard's puppets will never admit someone else could be better than him. Â Guess eating crow isn't their style.
Vancouver has a perfectly good city manager,,we don,t need a perfectly bad mayor. why are we paying for both, when one can do it all?
Sortbait :Â we did not want pollard either, but he kept getting re-elected
Just say NO to career politicians.
Other than getting paid money stolen from people's purchases & property taxes...what do these mayors ACTUALLY DO?
Fool me once shame on you! You won't fool me twice. Tim has great skill at talking out both sides of his mouth and being a back stabber as well as a turncoat. He would do better in DC. We don't want him back in Vancouver.
not many things are more amusing to me than an artical announcing an upcoming announcement. only things higher on list of amusing things to me you ask?  fat smokers, tweekers, smokers carelessness fires, and watching ebt card users shop at 7-11. thoughts and prayers.
IIRC..... wasn't this the guy that campaigned hard on NO tolls for the CRCÂ and shortly after his election, did a 180 on tolls
Vancouver doesnt want this guy as mayor.
