WA DOT reviewing 3 megaprojects, including CRC

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — New state Transportation Department Secretary Lynn Peterson has ordered a review of three megaprojects: a new Interstate 5 bridge crossing the Columbia River, and the new Highway 520 floating bridge and the tunnel replacing the Alaskan Way Viaduct in Seattle.
Each project costs billions of dollars.
Peterson said Thursday the assessment would be led by a program manager for the CH2M Hill engineering company, Ron Paananen. He's the former DOT project director for the Seattle tunnel project.
His review is due by the end of September. He'll recommend ways to clarify lines of decision-making, resolve disputes and hold down costs.

What could there possibly be left to review?
Yesterday Lynn Peterson was working for Gov. Kitzhaber, today she works for Gov. Inslee.
CH2M Hill engineering company, Ron Paananen was just investigated and fined by the Dept. of Justice.
I think his company is based out of colorado. Why arent we hiring locally?
This Columbia River Crossing Idea is unbeliveable. Who builds a bridge that is too low to accomidate 100% of all ships? even a Coast Guard Ship would not fit under it.
@Doug CH2M Hill was founded in Corvallis, Oregon in 1946. It moved its headquarters to Colorado in 1980, so it is sort-of locally based. I am sure there are many oldtimers in it who remember Oregon values.
@7Ws  Oregon apparently no longer has any values. At least the legislators don't have any values, as is evidenced by their scr*wing of the populace.
There are three CH2M Hill offices in Oregon:Â Portland, Corvallis, and Bend.
